I've been told recently that I am approaching something great. From someone whose opinion I value and listen to as well. ( A big deal, I hardly listen haha)

Then I found this quote:
It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.
C. S. Lewis

I think the quote is easier for me to see what something 'great' might be. I do just feel like an egg. Being told that I should be flying and just not considering flight an option. The edge of greatness just seems so improbable and unreachable as an 'egg' who has chosen not to hatch.
The idea of going bad impending scares me a bit.

When I sit and read his writings I can accept that there is more. Sadly, I am just as easily influenced by my various other readings. I should be more deeply rooted in how I feel, but I also refuse to be so set that I cannot grow. A dichotomy that has left me frozen in growth from stage to stage. A self aware egg is still only an egg that knows it has few choices.
